Craft Weekend with Mom

Mom and I had a crafty Saturday this weekend and it was so much fun! Here are some of the highlights of what we did:

First we did a little shopping and had to go and model some Halloween Hats.

Then we came back to Mom's house and to her NEW and AWESOME craft room to get to work!

She has so much more space for all her supplies! So jealous

She's so happy with her new room!

Our first project came from the "Artful Halloween" book by Susan Wasinger. She has this awesome tutorial on how to make spiders out of buttons and wire. They are going to be perfect for Halloween!

Mom's Spiders

Ahhhhhhh! There's a Spider on me!!!
After the Halloween Decorations we turned to Christmas. This idea came out of the "Holiday Crafts" Magazine we picked up at our local bookstore.

Here is the picture out of the magazine.
Here are Mom's creations. Aren't they adorable????

I Love our craft weekends! I can't wait till the next one! And yes we are such dorks... not only did we spend an entire Saturday crafting and goofing around but we watched awesomely bad "b" horror movies while we did it! Our movie marathon included: My Name is Bruce, Love at First Bite and Monster Squad. It was great!! I LOVE my Mother so much!!!!!!

Chuck Town

Over Labor day weekend Jeremy and I decided we needed a little mini day trip all to ourselves. So we decided to go to Charleston! This is one of our favorite places to go and spend a few hours. We had a blast!

Of Course we had to eat at 82 Queen. They have the best She Crab Soup in the South.
After lunch we walked around the battery... and we had to take our traditional cannon pictures.

I Love our mini vacations together. Only a few more weeks until our One Year Anniversary! I'm so excited! Jeremy is planning a secret weekend getaway for us!

A Senior Moment....

This happened a few years ago, but I still laugh every time I walk down the yogurt isle in the grocery store. A few years ago my Dad was on a big yogurt kick. Eating healthy, lots of yogurt, blah blah blah. So one day we were in the grocery store and all of a sudden my Mom started busting out laughing. Apparently my Dad was looking at the yogurt selection and said "Oh look. nosugaradded
(pronounced nah-soor-grah-dead), must be a new kind of Greek Yogurt".

Wow, No Sugar Added, Dad. Now I can't look at Yogurt and not smile.

New Job!

I got a job! Yay! I am now part of the wonderful admissions team at USC Salkehatchie. It has been a little overwhelming, okay a lot of overwhelming, at first. There is a lot, and I mean A LOT, of information I have had to learn. But I am slowly getting the hang of things and I am actually starting to kinda like it. I am so happy to have a job. This came at the right time too. I've still been having a really hard time dealing with the death of Jeremy's father and this job really helps keep me focused on things other than being sad all the time. Some days I still feel like just lying in bed all day but having a job makes me get up and interact with other people. So this job has been a big blessing. Most of the time I will be hanging out in Allendale, SC but they have another campus in Walterboro, SC, so I will be helping out there too. All of my co-workers are awesome. They are all so nice...I love making new friends.

My Double

I think I found my double...you know how they say everyone has a double in the world? Well I think I found mine...and her name is Sue Carol Ladd. Sue Carol was a Hollywood star in the 1920s/1930s.

Here is Sue and then below is a picture of me.

What do you think? Uncanny right? I mean look at that! That is crazy!

Jamie's a College Graduate!

WOOOOOOT!! My Little Brother Jamie is now a College Graduate from USC! I am so proud of him! He had already graduated from the USC Culinary school earlier and on Saturday he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality. Yay Jamie!!

Look at all the people! There were more people sitting in the audience than there were graduating, lol.

Yay Jamie!
