Allendale Christmas Parade!

Last Friday the Salkehatchie admissions office got to participate in the Allendale Christmas Parade! This was the first Christmas parade and the first float I've ever been in. It was a lot of fun but it was really cold! At least it only lasted for about 20 minutes... one of the fastest parades I've ever seen in my life.
Enjoy the Pictures!

Office Christmas Party!

When I started working at USC Salkehatchie, committees were already chosen, but I really wanted to help with one of them. My good friend Katina was on the Christmas committee so I thought "yay! I can help her with Christmas stuff. I'm good at creative things." So I volunteered and it was so much fun! I was in charge of crafts and the "photo booth". We had a great time. Here are some pictures from last night.

Craftaholics Handmade Craft Exchange Winter 2012

Everyone's stomachs are full of turkey, Christmas lights are going up, Christmas trees are getting strapped to the cars, bells are ringing in front of stores, all the radio stations are playing Christmas songs, and it's not even December yet. This can only mean one thing! It's time for the Craftaholics Anonymous Winter Handmade Gift Exchange! YAY! This year I was paired with Jacquelyn from North Dakota. I asked a lot of questions through Elfster to get to know her a little better and thankfully she responded to all of them. That really helped me get all my ducks in a row for her special gift. She told me that "I'm a movie watcher! I love a good book but with two kids, I normally have to wait for the movie!" So I thought it was be really cool to give her a bag full of goodies for a family movie/ game night! Here are some pictures of all the goodies that she and her family get to enjoy this holiday season!

Fruit Roll-ups, Gourmet Popcorn, Popcorn boxes, milky way minis, hot chocolate, bookmarks, hair pins, a dice game (found in online here), and a super cute feather ornament to go on their Christmas tree.

Close up of the ornament, I LOVE how they turned out!

Close up of the movie night bag!

So there you go! I hope you LOVE everything Jacquelyn! I had so much fun making this for you.
Have a Happy Holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012! We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with Jeremy's side of the family here in Bamberg. Jeremy actually made an Apple Spice cake all by himself (with icing!) and it was fantastic! And he told me he couldn't cook for all those years.... I know better now. haha.

way too early...but at least he has his monkey mug!

haha...Jeremy's so half asleep. I love that face!

These were used as soup bowls! How cool is that?

My Beautiful Flower Arrangement. I did it all by myself.

Christmas at Biltmore

This weekend we went to Biltmore in Asheville, NC to go to their candlelight tour. It was so pretty! I LOVED all the Christmas trees. It makes me want to put up all of my decorations now. I got so many good ideas. This theme for Christmas at Biltmore this year was : the decorators would pick a painting in each room and then decorate the Christmas tree based on that painting. For example: in one room there is an awesome painting of a ship so the Christmas tree had a nautical theme. It was so awesome.

Here we are at dinner.

We had dinner at the Biltmore Inn Dining Room. I had the Frisée & Endive Salad with local goat cheese, toasted walnuts, poached apple, blush vinaigrette; Sunburst Farms Trout with blue grits, crawfish, Tasso gravy, crisp okra; and Sweet Potato Crème Brulée with Candied Bacon, Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream and Biscotti. Jeremy had the same entree but had Pan Roasted Crab Cake with saffron couscous and cioppino broth as an appetizer and he had Caramelized White Chocolate Pâté with peppermint caramel, macadamia nougatine and bittersweet chocolate ice cream for dessert. It was all amazing.

This was the only Christmas tree we could take a picture of. Unfortunately no photography in the house.

Yay Christmas Elves!

We also want to congratulate our good friends Amy and Di  and
wish them a happy wonderful marriage!

Halloween

This was probably the WORST Halloween ever. I was so sick I didn't even get to pass out candy and spent the night on the couch being conscious, unconscious, blowing my nose, or sneezing. It was awful. Jeremy and Mama Fudge made it a little better by carving pumpkins and Mama Fudge brought over sweet potato pancakes and turkey bacon. But I was just so uggg. And the worst part is that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. So hopefully this means that I won't be sick for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year. Hopefully.

I made it to work for a few hours on Wed and while I was there I took a few minutes to snap some pictures of the USC Salkehatchie Halloween Party.

When I got home (I had to leave work early) I got to see the awesome pumpkins Jeremy and Mama Fudge carved. Then I went straight to the couch.

Hopefully this cold will go away and next Halloween will be better.  I hope yall had a great Halloween and had lots of fun for me!
