Cake Dress Invitations!

Okay, so Jeremy and I went to Starbucks on Gervais to meet with our Baker and it was Awesome!!! The cake is going to be red velvet (my favorite) and spice cake! yay!! And we got some yummy samples! Mr. Kittrell is from Iz Good Bakery and they are the nicest people i've ever met! You can find their website here or check them out on facebook here.

I went to my last alterations appointment yesterday. It was supposed to be at 3pm but we didn't get there until 3:20 (long story, ugg). But I got there and tried it on and it zipped!! yay!! I still was not 100% comfortable so we changed the foundation and it was a lot better. Then they bustled the dress and the sides did not look the same. So I stood on the pedestal for over an hour while they fixed everything. Now it looks great! I feel so beautiful in the dress! And I love all the detail when they bustle. Plus I like to twirl in the dress. ; ) Jeremy is going to really love it. I can't wait to see his face when I walk down the aisle.

Today Mom went and picked up my invitations!! I almost cried when i looked at the sample. They are AWESOME!!! Now i just have to finish the guest list and start assembling them. =) I'm so excited! Now that the actual invitations are in my hands, it just feels like the wedding is getting closer and closer!!!!

It's going to be a very very good day.

ps: i found this great recipe for tomato pie! I made some last night and it just hits the spot on a nice warm summer day. Enjoy it too!!

Exactly 4 Months To Go!

Only 4 more months! Can you believe it? Holy Smokes!

Okay, we went and talked to the caterer on Friday and it was AWESOME!! I'm sooo excited and I feel great about the reception after talking to Mr. and Mrs. Dupre. Okay, I'm not going to give a lot away but I will say that the reception food is going to be Southern Comfort Food. (think fried green tomatoes, flank steak on biscuits, and shrimp and grits) Get Excited!!!

Jeremy said that our wedding has taken on a "Southern Garden Party" feel to it. It just kinda morphed into that. I kinda really like it!! At the beginning we were thinking it would be more 20s/30s themed but I really like Southern Garden Party alot more!!

Things we are going to work on in the next month are:
- Pick out colors for the table linens ( I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a lavender/purple and silver overlay)
- Start making wedding favors (they are going to be super cute!)
- When invitations come in, start putting those together
- Keep working on Wedding Guest list and addresses in computer program
-Keep working out to get into shape (Jeremy and I are still walk/jogging every other day and I'm going to really start to work my arms)

Tomorrow I'm going to Starbucks for another meeting with my baker. He is going to do the groom's cake and my cake! :)

On Friday Mom and I are going to go and pick up my wedding dress. I'm still feeling anxious about the dress. I've dropped about 6 pounds since the last fitting; so I'm crossing my fingers that it will fit perfectly. And I think I'm going to try on a bigger size in the foundation so that my back does not get so bunched. Uggg, if it doesn't fit, I'm pretty sure I'm going to freak out. But Mom will be there and she will make sure I'm happy with the dress before we take it home.

My Bridal Portrait is going to happen on June 17th at Drayton Hall! I'm really excited. I think they will turn out to be Beautiful!! But before that happens, Mom still has to finish my veil, I gotta figure out how I'm going to do my hair and how I'm going to do my makeup. Thankfully Mom is almost done with my veil; it's so special that she is making it for me and it's going to look so gorgeous! (much better than the $400 veils at the bridal shop). While Jeremy and I were driving around I heard a commercial for a new salon called Angelic Divas. It looks really cool so I'm in the process right now to make an appt. I want a make up lesson and I'm going to dye my hair. So that will help alot as to how I'm going to do those at the Bridal Portrait and the Wedding. For my hair, I'm thinking about some more red highlights. I want it to look natural. But what I really want is to enhance my natural beauty. I just really want to feel and look beautiful for these special events.

Okay, enough about the wedding. lol. I am soooo proud of my fiance Jeremy. He is finally finished with Law School!! We went through 3 long grueling years of law together and it's finally done!!! :) I just can't even begin to describe how happy and proud i am. After Jeremy graduated, we all came back to our house for a bbq. Of course, it poured down rain. So me, Mom and Dad ran back to the house and moved everything under the carport. So it turned out to be lots of fun despite the weather. I thought long and hard about the gift I wanted to give Jeremy. I decided to make him a Bar Exam Survival Basket. It turned out to be AWESOME! I got lots of different kinds of coffee, coffee creamer, and chocolate for the basket. I also put this awesome book "I can has Cheezeburger", a really funny parody CD about Law stuff called "Chicken Suit for the Lawyer's Soul" , and I made him a coupon book. He really really liked it. :) Now that we got through all the school stuff, we have to make it through all the Bar Review Classes. Jeremy will take the Bar in July and I know he will pass on the first try. :)

well I think that gets everything caught up. Until next time!!
