A Senior Moment....

This happened a few years ago, but I still laugh every time I walk down the yogurt isle in the grocery store. A few years ago my Dad was on a big yogurt kick. Eating healthy, lots of yogurt, blah blah blah. So one day we were in the grocery store and all of a sudden my Mom started busting out laughing. Apparently my Dad was looking at the yogurt selection and said "Oh look. nosugaradded
(pronounced nah-soor-grah-dead), must be a new kind of Greek Yogurt".

Wow, No Sugar Added, Dad. Now I can't look at Yogurt and not smile.

Things I've been working on

In case you were wondering what is going on in my craft world:
here are a few projects I've been working on. Enjoy!

Yarn and Flower Wreath in beautiful blues, golds, and browns

Yarn wrapped and decorated cedar plank

Yarn wrapped and paper flower decorated heart wreath
Toilet paper tube flowers and my Tree of Life reverse painting (done on a piece of plexiglass from a broken frame)

Close up of Tree of Life: the leaves were done using a toilet paper tube. I love how the it looks with the light coming through it.

New Job!

I got a job! Yay! I am now part of the wonderful admissions team at USC Salkehatchie. It has been a little overwhelming, okay a lot of overwhelming, at first. There is a lot, and I mean A LOT, of information I have had to learn. But I am slowly getting the hang of things and I am actually starting to kinda like it. I am so happy to have a job. This came at the right time too. I've still been having a really hard time dealing with the death of Jeremy's father and this job really helps keep me focused on things other than being sad all the time. Some days I still feel like just lying in bed all day but having a job makes me get up and interact with other people. So this job has been a big blessing. Most of the time I will be hanging out in Allendale, SC but they have another campus in Walterboro, SC, so I will be helping out there too. All of my co-workers are awesome. They are all so nice...I love making new friends.

Yay USC Salkehatchie Campus!

My Double

I think I found my know how they say everyone has a double in the world? Well I think I found mine...and her name is Sue Carol Ladd. Sue Carol was a Hollywood star in the 1920s/1930s.

Here is Sue and then below is a picture of me.

What do you think? Uncanny right? I mean look at that! That is crazy!

WOOOOOOT!! My Little Brother Jamie is now a College Graduate from USC! I am so proud of him! He had already graduated from the USC Culinary school earlier and on Saturday he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality. Yay Jamie!!

Look at all the people! There were more people sitting in the audience than there were graduating, lol.

Yay Jamie!
