Jekyll Island Pt. 4

Saturday night Jeremy took me out to dinner at the Jekyll Island Club Grand Dining Room. It was so romantic and perfect.

We love being silly

Jeremy was trying so hard not to laugh. Of course our serious picture came out blurry. haha

For dinner Jeremy had sea scallops with corn relish and chili sauce, seared duck breast with a cherry sauce and rice pilaf, and for dessert he had key lime pie. I had crab cakes with orange marmalade, filet mignon with boursin cheese and caramelized onions with pommes william (a fried mashed potato shaped like a pear), and this adorable turtle chocolate mousse.
how cute is that?? It's a turtle coming out of the water onto the beach and it even has little eggs! It was hard to eat but it was very yummy.
On Sunday Jeremy took me to the Georgia Turtle Center. We got to learn about a turtle's life cycle and then we got to visit some of the sick turtles in the turtle hospital. I love turtles so this was very cool!

After visiting the turtles we drove out to the beach one last time.

This trip was so wonderful! Jeremy did such a great job. This was such a great surprise! I Love You Jeremy! I Love being your wife!!!

Jekyll Island Pt. 3

Saturday afternoon we went to Driftwood Beach. This beach is created from erosion. The ocean is taking sand off the north beach and depositing it on the south end of the island thus killing the trees. It was very surreal and beautiful.

Jekyll Island Pt. 1

Okay, so Jeremy has been planning a surprise one year anniversary weekend trip for a while. He kept the secret so well, I had no idea where we were going. So you can guess how excited I was when we pulled up to Jekyll Island!

We stayed at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel

Our Room

Doesn't this remind you of the Shining hallway? I kept asking Jeremy where the little girls were. "Come Play with Us"

Saturday morning we took a tram ride around the historic district

Here are some of the Victorian "Cottages" that the patrons of the Jekyll Island Club had to rough it in during the winter months (October to March).
Moss Cottage

Indian Mound (owned by the Rockefellers)

Crane Cottage

Villa Ospo

Cherokee (This was a present to one of the club member's mother-in-law...mom don't get any ideas)

Faith Chapel (This chapel boasts a signed Tiffany stained glass window)
Tomorrow I'll post more pictures, promise!

Anniversary Part 2

On Monday Jeremy had flowers sent to my office! Aren't they pretty? All my co-workers were jealous. lol. They told Jeremy that he could send flowers every week. haha

After work, Jeremy and I exchanged presents. Jeremy picked his own bag. We went with the traditional route and exchanged "paper" presents.

I found this idea on pinterest and just knew I had to make one for Jeremy. He LOVED it!

I also had to make him a little puzzle

Jeremy bought me authentic 1920s Dennison Halloween Cut Outs in their original packaging! How AWESOME!!

We are too cute!
Mama Fudge made us dinner on Monday too! We had green beans, dirty rice, "crack" chicken (chicken wrapped in bacon and chipped beef in a cream of mushroom soup sauce), rolls, and derby pie for dessert.
Mama Fudge gave us some more of our wedding china

She put a cute Valentine's wreath that lit up

And we got to use real china and silver. It was wonderful!!!
Jeremy has a super exciting secret weekend vacation planned this weekend! We are leaving right after I get off work tomorrow! I can't Wait!!!!!
