A little bit of this... a little bit of that

So I have a cold... or a sinus infection... or something. So much fun yall. NOT. Especially when you are trying to pack boxes and trying to clean up your new house. Not fun at all. So I'm taking a break as per Dr. Jeremy's orders.

The move is going as can be expected. We tried to find a cleaning company to come and clean the house up a little for us before we move in. The first people told us it would be $1300. 0_o Excuse me? Maybe I'm in the wrong business. I don't think so. So we found another lady and she has been cleaning the house for the past four days for $120. Much better... and don't worry, we are going to give her a big tip. I don't think she realized how big the house is. But even with the cleaning lady, we are going to have to clean the floors and windows ourselves. I don't think the windows have been cleaned in 20 years. They are filthy. We have also started painting a few of the rooms. Thankfully we found a big can of paint in the shed the same color as some of the rooms so we won't have to go and buy some more. (The parlor just needed a few little touch ups) The guest bedroom upstairs and the guest bathroom need an entire redo. But it shouldn't be that bad. Maybe I'll post some before, during, and after pictures so that you can see too.

I HATE not being able to clean up my house. It is driving me NUTS. There are boxes and paper shred and packing tape EVERYWHERE. Furniture is slowly disappearing and that is just showing me how awful my cleaning has been. Can you say Yuck? So much cat hair and dust under everything. My bad. I thought I was doing a good job, but oh well. It makes me really sad that it is starting to look really empty here. But Jeremy keeps reminding me that I get to decorate a new house soon. So that helps. I told him that we will just have to make some good new memories in the new house.

I'll try to post some pictures of us cleaning and painting the new house soon. Toodles until then!

Looking forward to the pictures to come :) Don't worry, you were a fabulous cleaner when it comes to pets; they are always hard to clean up after.
